Accessibility and VPAT Certification

Beacon is now accessible! Last quarter, we began the initiative to make Beacon accessible for all users. We want to ensure that students and school administrators, including people with disabilities, have a good user experience and can easily access all Beacon-related information and settings. More importantly, all of GoGuardian’s products must be accessible to individuals with disabilities to be compliant with established federal laws and guidelines. On April 30, 2021 we released an update ensuring that the student messaging (the pop-up window that informs students that their online behavior has triggered an alert) is accessible by all students. Now, we have completed the accessibility requirements for the administrator-facing screen.
