Last fall, during EdTech Week, a district technology leader from Kansas said something that stuck with me. As we moved into the new year and continued conversations at conferences like FETC and TCEA, I heard the same theme surface again and again.

Schools are no longer buying products. They are buying outcomes.

They want safer schools, stronger student engagement, better academic results, and technology decisions they can defend with confidence, while also keeping pace with growing compliance expectations across an increasingly complex technology stack. The margin for error is shrinking, while the demands on technology teams keep rising.

That reality is shaping how we operate in 2026 at GoGuardian, with significant investment across our core platform and new solutions like GoGuardian Hall Pass and GoGuardian Discover.

Outcomes require real understanding

Student outcomes start with understanding what actually happens during the school day. How students engage with learning. Where distractions emerge. How technology supports instruction, assessment, and safety in real classroom conditions.

This is where GoGuardian is different.

We operate at a scale no other provider does. Today, more than half of public and private K–12 students in the United States are supported by GoGuardian, and our core products are used by millions of students and educators every day. That scale allows districts to move beyond assumptions and make decisions grounded in data that reflects how schools actually operate.

Improving safety, learning, and efficiency

Because outcomes matter, our innovation is focused on where schools feel the impact most.

Across GoGuardian Admin, Teacher, and Beacon, we have continued to invest in consistency and reliability across mixed-device environments, including significant Windows enhancements, stronger diagnostics, and expanded safety coverage. These improvements reduce friction, save time and money for technology teams and create more consistent experiences for educators and students.

We also use AI intentionally and responsibly to reduce manual effort and surface meaningful patterns at scale. One example is Admin’s proxy detection, where AI helps identify up to 18x more proxy activity, enabling technology teams to respond faster to increasingly sophisticated safety risks. At the classroom level, these capabilities support more personalized instruction and assessment, helping educators better understand student needs and adjust in real time to drive positive student outcomes.

Looking ahead, our roadmap includes continued innovation across our core products, including smart alerts for games and AI-driven system and policy recommendations in Admin, as well as pre-set student groups in Teacher.

As always, educator judgment remains central and privacy, transparency, and trust remain non-negotiable.

Turning insight into action

Student outcomes matter because they are the reason this work exists in the first place. Every decision technology leaders make, every policy schools enforce, and every tool teachers use ultimately comes back to the same question: is this helping students learn, stay safe, and succeed?

By giving educators clear, standards-aligned assessment data and a holistic view of student progress, it helps teachers personalize instruction, monitor growth over time, and provide proactive support where it is needed most.

Looking ahead

In 2026, our focus is on bringing innovative solutions at scale that deliver even stronger student outcomes. In his prior executive roles, he has exhibited a successful track record of driving global growth, building brands, and accelerating business performance through operational excellence. As Chief Growth Officer at GoGuardian, John leads the marketing, sales, and revenue operations teams. John holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Southern California (USC). He is also a regular guest lecturer at USC Marshall School of Business and stays involved in his local community through sports coaching, school engagement, and various non-profit work.
