The devastation caused by the wildfires across Los Angeles is truly heartbreaking. Our thoughts are with everyone in Greater Los Angeles as they navigate unimaginable challenges.

Los Angeles has been GoGuardian’s home for the past 11 years, and we are committed to standing by the community during this time of rebuilding and recovery. Each and every day, GoGuardian is driven to support schools and educators drive positive learning outcomes for students in safe and secure learning environments. It’s important students are able to continue learning through this time and, we want to help with that process where we can make an immediate impact – by fostering learning environments that engage and protect students.

To support students, educators, and schools affected by the wildfires, GoGuardian is providing access to its Pear Deck Learning and GoGuardian products through the end of the school year. Specifically:

  • No-cost licenses for displaced or incoming students: We’re offering additional licenses for GoGuardian tools at no cost to ensure every student has uninterrupted access to learning when schools are ready to begin instruction again.
  • Free access to tools for remote learning: For schools and students who will require remote or hybrid learning, we’ll provide free access to our products to keep education moving forward.
  • Configuration and setup support: We’ll be making our team available to administrators of schools impacted to configure new products or adapt current systems, and we will help train teachers on remote learning tools at no cost.
  • Student mental health resources: To address heightened mental health concerns for students who have lost their homes, schools and communities, we’re offering free setup and access to GoGuardian Beacon. GoGuardian Beacon enables early intervention by alerting responders when a student is at risk and has already helped prevent over 18,600 incidents of physical harm since March 2020.

The school community is strong and based on helping others. In the coming weeks, GoGuardian is planning an employee day of service to directly assist impacted communities.

GoGuardian has also donated $50,000 to the Los Angeles County Wildfire Relief Fund at the Greater Los Angeles Education Foundation (GLAEF). We encourage others to do so. You can donate here.

The resilient spirit of Greater Los Angeles is inspiring and GoGuardian is committed to helping however we can in our communities and in our schools. Please contact us at giving@goguardian.com to let us know which of these services might best help your school.
