Addressing a Growing Need: We're Here to Help

Get our free resource guide for K-12 schools and districts.

Suicide was already the second-most leading cause of death for youth aged 10-24 — and that’s just one marker across the wide spectrum of mental health struggles. Over the last year, those struggles have increased among students and adults alike as the pandemic has fueled isolation and anxiety.

As schools transition back to varying levels of “normal” this fall, K-12 educators have a direct line to students at risk of mental health crises. To help you prepare, GoGuardian has collaborated with school counselors, SEL coaches, mental health advocates, and experts in suicidology to create a collection of resources and tools to use in your schools.

In this guide, we discuss

Building school-home partnerships with families to support student mental health and meet a common goal of healthy, happy, and thriving children.

Implementing authentic social-emotional learning as a way to create intentional environments of safety and belonging.

The Trevor Project’s Model School Policy for supporting students in crisis and protecting the health and well-being of all students.

Protecting student privacy while monitoring for student safety and mental health crises.

Emotional recovery for educators and administrators to process the challenges from the past year and recover from the impact.

Helping students develop a strategy for self-care by creating a recipe that addresses emotional management and improves health.
